Based on the world bestseller by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince comes as an original Czech musical. Our story follows the journey of two main characters towards the inevitable fulfillment of their destinies. This journey is illustrated with unusually colorful and optimistically tuned excursions into previously unexplored musical genres. Through music, actors, and singers, we are transported into a world of fantasy, whether it be strange planets or their even stranger inhabitants. The planet Earth is represented not only by the desert but also by the canteen of the Corsican airport, from which Exupéry embarked on his final mission. The story of Exupéry himself and The Little Prince has been touching the world for decades, and we want to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of this great dreamer and great man, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, with this grand musical production for both young and old audiences.
The original Czech musical The Little Prince, created by Daniel Barták, Richard Bergman, and Vít Pokorný, had its "Christmas premiere" on December 25 and 26, 2019, at 13:00 on Czech Radio Dvojka.
